This team of volunteers strategizes about our four large events throughout the year—The Fun Run, The Holiday Bazaar, Spring Flea Market (new!), and the Bulldog Bash.

This committee collaborates with the events committee to think about fundraising efforts aligned with those such as raffles and silent auctions. In addition to the big events, this group will focus on restaurant nights, the blue bag/bottle drop fundraiser, and other small fundraisers.

This team will focus on rooting the PTA and school’s work in diversity, equity, and inclusion. The goal is to improve outreach, engagement, and connections with families and to assist with programming that focuses on the various cultural and ethnic groups representative of our community.

This team will coordinate efforts to form Faubion elementary sports teams throughout the year by recruiting coaches and players. The PTA will fund the teams, we just need to get them going!

This team will plan events and activities exclusively for community building. Those include movie nights and grown-up socials (trivia nights, drag queen bingo, karaoke night), and other events to bring the community together.

This committee will be focusing their efforts on mobilizing Faubion parents and families on public education advocacy efforts such as enlisting testimonials, recruiting for designated lobby days, and more depending on the political efforts.

This committee will rally volunteers for a variety of our events as well as help plan Teacher Appreciation Week and get volunteers signed up for those activities.

Assist PTA Communications Coordinators on developing and finding newsletter content, helping create social media content, being go-to contacts for drumming up excitement and energy for PTA activities.

This committee will develop a room representative program that will recruit parents and caregivers to serve as room reps/liaisons between classrooms and the PTA. The goal is to provide room reps with activities to bring their designated classroom once a month, will attend PTA meetings, and be a point-of-contact for the teacher to connect with the PTA.

This committee will focus on ways to get more middle school families involved in school wide events. It will also be a way to create a more connected and community-focused middle school experience for students and families.
