Join the Faubion PTA for a virtual book talk with Lindsey Cormack, author of “How to Raise a Citizen (And why it’s up to you to do it).” During this talk we will discuss how to talk about politics and government with your kids post-election.

Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a beautiful tradition celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries that honors the lives of loved ones who have passed away. Rooted in the rich cultures of indigenous peoples, this celebration emphasizes the importance of remembering and cherishing those who have come before us and those who have left us too soon. Families create altars, or ofrendas, adorned with photos, keepsakes, and favorite foods of the departed to celebrate their lives and the memories they leave behind.

As we learn about the traditions of Día de Muertos, we recognize the similarities we share across cultures in honoring our dearly departed.

We invite all families to bring a photo, keepsake, or something special to honor a loved one to add to our altar. The altar will be open for viewing on October 30th, starting at drop-off until 4 p.m.
